About Anand

Portrait of Anand Rawat

I grew up in a small village, starting my day milking cows and ending it studying by lantern light. Now, I build AI models in the UK. The journey's been long, but one thing stayed constant: a desire to learn.

From the muddy fields of rural India to the data labs of the UK, this is more than a career - it's living proof that you don't need a silver spoon or a fancy degree to build your future. I studied engineering at one of India's finest public institutions, completed a Master's at Queen Mary University of London, and now build practical AI and data systems whilst mentoring self-taught engineers through DataRawatAI.

“Here, curiosity beats credentials, and bold learners shape their own paths.”

Journey

  1. Born and raised in a farmer’s family in India.
  2. Studied engineering at a top public (government) institution in India.
  3. Moved to the UK for a Master’s at Queen Mary University of London.
  4. Worked across data engineering and applied AI/ML - pipelines to production.
  5. Founded DataRawatAI to help ambitious, self-taught builders go from bold to job-ready.

What I'm Doing Now

  • Building DataRawatAI - a digital village square for self-made learners.
  • Designing practical, bite-sized courses and learning tracks.
  • Creating tools, books, and projects for the community.
  • Running “Code Before Coffee” - daily challenges to keep minds sharp.
  • Mentoring learners who believe effort matters more than titles.
  • Proving that big dreams can grow from small villages.

What I Believe

  • Effort matters more than titles - curiosity beats credentials.
  • Your roots are your strength, not your weakness.
  • Big dreams can start anywhere - even in small villages.
  • Learning isn't just about what you know - it's about who you learn with.
  • Start small, stay strong, and dream big.
  • Progress, no matter how small, deserves celebration.
